Environmental caravan in the next 5 days will visit 6 towns in Serbia, with 12 bicyclists and artists form Cirkusfera, performing environmental show will entertain citizens and deliver them 3z000 bags for waste separation

Green initiative and Green List of Serbia invites you to join us at the begining of environmental bicycle caravan, within Get Planet Wise! Recycle campaign,  in Gornji Milanovac, on Monday, June 25, at pre school “Svetlost” yard at 1 pm. Environmental caravan, with 12 bicyclists will visit 5 more cities in Sebia sending messages on importance of recycling and calling citizens , organizations, institutions and recycling businesses to get more actively involved in collecting recyclable materials.

In each town that they visit, bicyclists will deliver to citizens bags wor waste separation containing the internet address of a Recycling Address book,  a unique database of recycling islands in Serbia, published on Green initiative website  (www.zelenainicijativa.rs/reciklazniadresar). In each town, group of artists from Cirkusfera will join the bicycle caravan, and together they will entertain citizens with environmental show in which citizens will be able to participate as well.

This is a third eco-bike Get Planet wise! Recycle caravan  that this year is realized within Green initiative activities, focused on stimulation of primary selection on local and national level in Serbia. Realization of this year’s bike caravan is being implemented in partnership with Balkan Community Initiatives Fund (BCIF), Young Researchers of Serbia, Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC)​​, and with the financial assistance of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), supported as well by the Telenor Foundation and Dutch Embassy.

During the caravan, bicyclists will cross 350 km, and finish will be in Backi Petrovac, on June 29.

Sending environmental messages to citizens, on importance of recycling and primary selection, in first two years, bicyclist caravan visited over 20 towns in Serbia, more than 40 bicyclists participated in it, and it crossed 1,200 km.
